Privacy Policy
We run a small, quiet service and we intend to keep it that way. This policy explains exactly what we collect, who else touches it, and what you can do about it.
1. What We Collect
- Nothing, if you only use the free tier. The daily hexagram and free readings require no account, no email, and no sign-up.
- If you subscribe: your email address (for the account and receipts) and billing details, which are handled entirely by our payment processor — we never see or store your card number.
- The question you type before casting a hexagram, when you request an AI-assisted reading. It is used to generate that reading and is not attached to your identity on the free tier.
- Basic, anonymous usage data (page views, reading counts) used to keep the service running.
2. Who Else Sees Your Data
- AI model providers. To generate an AI-assisted reading, your question and the hexagram text are sent to third-party language-model providers through an API gateway (OpenRouter). We do not send your name, email, or any account identity with these requests.
- Payment processor. Subscriptions are billed by a merchant-of-record processor (such as Paddle or PayPal). They handle your payment data under their own privacy policies; we only receive notice that a payment succeeded.
We do not sell personal data. We do not run advertising trackers. We do not share your data with anyone else.
3. What We Do Not Do
- We do not build behavioral profiles for resale.
- We do not use your private questions to train models.
- We do not email you promotional material unless you ask for it.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
Free-tier reading requests are not retained after the reading is delivered. If you have a subscription account, you may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing hello@dailyoracle.ai; we will confirm and complete deletion within 30 days.
5. Children
Daily Oracle is not directed at children under 18, and subscriptions are restricted to adults.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Write to hello@dailyoracle.ai and we will honor these requests regardless of where you live.
7. Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and announce it on this page.
