1. What Daily Oracle Is

Daily Oracle is a digital self-reflection and educational content service. It presents hexagrams of the I Ching (the Book of Changes), generated by a classical yarrow-stalk mathematical procedure (Da Yan), together with editorial commentary, AI-assisted readings, and reflective prompts intended for personal journaling and contemplation.

The hexagram itself is produced by documented mathematics. It is not selected by a person, and it is not selected by AI. AI is used only to help you read and reflect on the result.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a subscription. The free tier is not intended for minors.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

• Free tier: the daily hexagram and a limited number of readings per day, with no account required.
• Paid tier: $4.99 per month or $39.99 per year, billed through our payment processor.
• Transparent pricing: we do not offer weekly subscriptions, hidden trials, or dark-pattern renewals. What you see is what you are charged.
• You may cancel at any time. Cancellation stops all future charges immediately; your access continues until the end of the period you already paid for.

4. AI-Generated Content Disclosure

Readings marked as written by "the Guide" are AI-generated content, produced with the assistance of third-party language models. They are editorial commentary, not authoritative interpretation of the I Ching, and not statements of fact about your life or future.

5. No Professional Advice

Daily Oracle is for entertainment and self-reflection only. Nothing in the service constitutes medical, psychological, financial, legal, or other professional advice, and nothing in the service predicts or guarantees any outcome.

If you are in crisis, or if you or someone else may be in danger, stop using this service and contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services immediately.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Daily Oracle to harass, coerce, or deceive others; not to attempt to circumvent the free-tier limits or security measures; and not to scrape, resell, or republish our content without permission.

7. Intellectual Property

The I Ching itself is an ancient text in the public domain. However, all original editorial content, English commentary, design, code, and branding on this site are the property of Daily Oracle and may not be copied or republished without written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Daily Oracle is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and our liability for any claim arising from use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
